That's right fans of the Gift... We're doing a parody of the entire series... taken from the inside of the book...I thought this would say it all...
THE SNIFFED
Book One of The Sniffed Series
Mike Gambell
a.k.a. "Stinky"
* * *
This book is a loving and entirely premeditated act of self-sabotage.
It is dedicated to everyone who has ever been in a very quiet room
and made it considerably less quiet.
You know who you are.
So does everyone else.
It is also dedicated to the makers of Febreze and Air Wick,
without whom none of this would have been manageable,
and several of whom may wish to consider this series
as a marketing opportunity.
And in deepest gratitude to Robert Lynn Asprin,
whose MythAdventures series proved beyond all reasonable doubt
that comedy could have a heart,
that farce could be kind,
and that the most undignified situations
are often the most human ones.
He led the way.
We are merely following,
at a respectful distance,
with the windows open.

THE SNIFFED SERIES
Book 1: The Sniffed
Book 2: The Second Sniff
Book 3: The Broken Wind
Book 4: The Transparent Stench
Book 5: The Final Waft
Book 6: The Author's Whiff
One moment I thought I'd share with you to see if you're REALLY ready for our brand of humor:
"Who," Leo Evans said, with all the honest puzzlement of a man who has never once said something he didn't mean, "cut the cheese?"
Then he was gone.
Not dramatically. Not with fanfare. Simply gone, the way a long-held note fades, the way a good fire goes when it's finally used up everything it had to give. Leo Evans had been in the room. Leo Evans was now somewhere considerably more interesting, presumably with his wife Jessica, and whatever confusion had marked his final moment here had presumably been resolved upon arrival.
The rosary slipped to the floor with a small, clear sound.
Darin could not move.
Jackie Davis had been standing by the window.
Jackie Davis had two jobs, one daughter, and an apartment that ran like a military operation on a peacetime budget. She had been monitoring the household atmosphere with the vigilance of a woman for whom a domestic situation unaddressed is a domestic situation that becomes a worse domestic situation later, and so the reflex was automatic, completely involuntary, and produced with the same unconscious speed as blinking.
Jackie sniffed.
She sniffed again.
Her eyes opened very wide "Who died?" she said.
This is early on, but yes - We're going there, and you're welcome to join in for the ride.
The first 2 books are in development, and the next 4 are coming soon.
